Safeguarding Promise

At Learn and Bloom, safeguarding is our highest priority. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, young people, and vulnerable individuals who engage with our tutors. Our Safeguarding Promise outlines the key measures we take to protect those in our care and provide a safe learning environment.

Our Commitment

  1. Safe Tutors: Every tutor undergoes thorough background checks, including an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, to ensure they are suitable to work with children and vulnerable individuals. We also verify references and qualifications as part of our safer recruitment process.
  2. Ongoing Safeguarding Training: All tutors receive safeguarding training, including regular updates, to ensure they understand how to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns, whether they arise during in-person or online tutoring sessions.
  3. Clear Reporting Procedures: We have clear procedures in place for tutors, staff, students, and parents to report any safeguarding concerns. Our designated safeguarding lead is available to respond to and manage any issues swiftly and sensitively.
  4. Creating Safe Learning Environments: We ensure that all tutoring sessions—whether in person or online—are conducted in safe, appropriate settings. Online sessions are delivered via secure platforms, and we promote responsible use of technology.
  5. Maintaining Professional Boundaries: Our tutors are trained to maintain professional relationships with students and families, ensuring that interactions are respectful, safe, and focused on learning.
  6. Listening to Students: We actively encourage students to voice any concerns or discomfort they may feel during tutoring sessions. We listen and take all concerns seriously, acting on them appropriately.
  7. Collaborating with Parents/Guardians: We work closely with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child’s progress and to ensure they are comfortable with the tutoring arrangements. We encourage open communication to ensure that the student’s needs are being met safely.
